The Steel Aces team had the honour and privilege of sponsoring the 2025 Aquino Tank Weekend — one of the most remarkable celebrations of armoured vehicle history in the world. Hosted by the Canadian Tank Museum, Aquino brings together veterans, historians, re-enactors, collectors, and families for a weekend unlike any other.
What makes Aquino truly special is the people behind it. Organised by just four full-time staff and powered by over 150 volunteers who donate their time and skills, the event is a testament to what genuine passion for military history can achieve. From the mechanics keeping decades-old armour in running order, to the parking rangers, cooks, and operations teams — every volunteer plays a critical role in bringing this weekend to life.
In our view, Aquino is one of the true global landmark celebrations of tank history — an event that deserves to be on every enthusiast's calendar.
We were thrilled to set up our Demo Game Stations and let attendees experience Steel Aces firsthand. The response was incredible — especially when we showcased the CTM's own Fox Armoured Car, recreated in-game. Watching real-world vehicle enthusiasts recognise each detail in our digital recreation was one of the highlights of the weekend for our team.
The Canadian Tank Museum staff and volunteers handled the heat, the crowds, and the thousand-and-one challenges of running a large-scale event with outstanding professionalism. Their support of our presence went above and beyond, and we cannot thank them enough.
