We’re excited to give you a first look at one of the upcoming maps in development for Steel Aces—the Alpine Region. This new battlefield is designed to immerse players in a rugged, mountainous landscape, where strategic positioning and environmental awareness will be key to victory.

Exploring the Terrain
In these early development screenshots, you can catch a glimpse of the terrain details, natural features, and some of the work-in-progress assets that will shape the final version of the map. From steep inclines and dense forestry to open valleys perfect for long-range engagements, the Alpine Region is built to challenge even the most seasoned commanders.

The map is designed with verticality in mind, offering plenty of high ground for snipers and vantage points, while narrow pathways and rocky outcrops provide cover for close-quarters skirmishes.
Dynamic Time-of-Day & Weather Effects
One of the exciting features we’re implementing is dynamic time-of-day and weather variations. This means that players might, sometimes, experience battles under different conditions, adding an extra layer of realism and strategy to every match.

In the screenshots, you can see the ‘morning’ and ‘afternoon’ versions of the map, each offering a distinct atmosphere and lighting that will affect visibility and tactics. Whether you’re fighting under the crisp morning sun or the golden glow of late afternoon, each setting will influence how battles unfold.
Additionally, we’re working on weather effects such as fog, rain, and snowfall, which will further impact visibility, movement, and overall gameplay dynamics.
What’s Next?
As development progresses, we’ll be sharing more updates, including refined textures, additional environmental details, and gameplay insights. The Alpine Region is shaping up to be an intense and immersive battlefield, and we can’t wait to show you more.
Stay tuned for more reveals, and let us know what you think of the Alpine Region so far!
