As we continue developing the Alpine Region map for Steel Aces, we’d like to give you a closer look at one of its key areas—The Village. Designed with heavier, slower vehicles in mind, this area offers plenty of opportunities for tactical positioning and armoured skirmishes.

A Well-Positioned Settlement

Set in a European Alps inspired environment, The Village is surrounded by a mountain to the north and rivers to the east and west. With bridges as the only access points, this location creates a more defined combat zone, where players will need to consider positioning and movement carefully.

The buildings and village roads provide good cover, making it an ideal spot for armoured vehicles to engage in close-range encounters while using the terrain to their advantage. With various routes through the village, players will have options for advancing, flanking and holding ground.

Designed for Armoured Play

This area is particularly suited to heavier vehicles that benefit from strategic movement and well-placed cover. Unlike open landscapes where speed is key, The Village provides a space where armour and positioning play a larger role. Players can take advantage of the roads and structures to navigate effectively while staying protected from enemy fire.

With bridges serving as key entry points, controlling these crossings will be important for teams looking to secure the area.

The Village is still in its early stages, and some details may change as we refine the map before releasing for closed test. Layout adjustments and additional details will be made to enhance gameplay, ensuring a balanced experience.
