Aquino Tank Weekend is the largest and greatest historical military show in North America. It is the Canadian Tank Museum’s biggest annual event. There is nothing like it in the world!
Spanning over three very busy days (25-27 July 2025), Aquino Tank Weekend is an event with action-packed excitement for families and history enthusiasts.
The Museum is known worldwide for its extensive collection of operational historical vehicles (over 120), and they will be showcased in both static and dynamic displays over the weekend.
They will roll out in demonstrations, battle reenactments, and one-on-one tank battles!
Steel Aces is incredibly proud and privileged to sponsor this unparalleled event and is equally as excited to announce three very Special Guests.
Sofilein
Sofilein is one of the standout Content Creators and overall supporters of Military Museums, Collections, and Foundations. Her experience and passion for Tanks, and those that tend, take care of, and support, make her the perfect choice for a Special Guest for this year’s Aquino Tank Weekend.
She was a major supporter and fundraiser during the Project Uplift Charity Streams, as well as USO, Animal, and other Charities.

Matsimus
Our next Special Guest is the one and only Matsimus!
Matsimus is a Canadian Army reservist, ex-British Army tank mechanic and the voice behind the Matsimus YouTube channel. His channel delves into military vehicles, armored tactics, history and defense technology, combining hands-on military experience with thoughtful commentary on both modern and historical warfare.
Steel Aces is looking forward to Matsimus attending as a Special Guest this year. Be sure to follow him for more updates and news on Aquino Tank Weekend.

Tank Side Assist
Our Third Special Guests are Lottie the Tank Whisper and Peter from Tank Side Assist!
They are restoration specialists for (armoured) vehicles and similar historical artifacts from Australia.
With over two dozen years of tank restoration experience under their belts, they possess real-world expertise that places them in a very specialized category. For the last two Aquino events, they have attended and helped with everything from wrench turning to wrestling engines to life, and even crewing many of the vehicles seen in the shows! If you see either of them walking around, feel free to chat them up and ask any of your “tank dork” questions you’ve always had.
